Reporting to the Payroll Manager this position would be responsible for the biweekly processing of the Business Services payroll and the semi-monthly processing of the equity partner payroll.  The Payroll Coordinator would also provide customer service to our employee population.

Responsibilities

  • Calculates and enters timesheets for the Business Services and Equity Partner payrolls
  • Updates payroll records by entering any changes to employee information received through emails and daily interfaces
  • Runs the PeopleSoft daily interface
  • Collects and enters all tax updates received by payroll
  • Provides customer service to the US Payroll populations by answering questions received in our Payroll inbox
  • Files and maintains electronic payroll data received by the department
  • Performs additional duties as assigned based on the needs of the department

Qualifications

Education/Training/Certifications: 

  • An Associates Degree is preferred. An equivalent combination and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the job. 

Professional Experience: 

  • A minimum 2 years of related experience is preferred.

Technical Skills: 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Experience using ADP payroll platform to process payroll
  • General knowledge of Payroll principles and tax laws

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels of the Firm and outside vendors
  • Accurate and meticulous in data entry
  • Strong customer service skills, able to anticipate needs

  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment and effectively support the demanding needs of the Firm
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines with shifting priorities
  • Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative
  • Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion
  • Exercises solid problem-solving skills
