If you enjoy working with team members whose defining characteristics are exceptional client service, initiative, professionalism, responsiveness, and adaptability, you may be the person we are seeking to join our Electronic Discovery Services department in our Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, or Washington, D.C. office, as an Analyst I: Trial Support.

 

Provide trial, hearing, and arbitration/mediation, technical and logistical support to attorneys and legal teams. Provide trial graphics and PowerPoint assistance for trial teams.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Provide courtroom hotseat support
  • Designs and creates demonstrative exhibits and PowerPoint presentations
  • Provides graphics support during trials, hearings, arbitrations and other firm events
  • Travel and setup for various case work including courtroom technology builds and war room setup in remote hotel spaces as needed
  • Troubleshoots audio visual, network, and other computer equipment issues
  • Assists in evaluation of new products/applications as appropriate to the Firm’s Trial Technology Services
  • Travel will be expected as casework demands

Qualifications

Education/Training/Certifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in communications, audio visual, graphic arts, computer hardware/networking or similar areas of study An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the job

 

Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience including hardware support, graphic design experience required

 

Technical Skills: 

  • Trial Director/On Cue presentation software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software systems
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and networking
  • Knowledge of the following: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel, PDF reading and editing software (Nuance and/or Adobe Acrobat), and basic video editing capabilities preferred
  • Understanding of persuasive information design with a strong emphasis in charts, graphs, timelines, and relationship maps preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels of the Firm and outside vendors
  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment and effectively support the demanding needs of the Firm
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines with shifting priorities
  • Ability to maintain flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends as projects demand, with minimal project supervision
  • Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative
  • Customer service-oriented attitude, required
  • Ability to multitask and handle numerous assignments, timelines on a daily basis and see assignments and tasks to resolution with minimal follow-up
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion
  • Exercises solid strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

 

Physical Requirements:

  • May require occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
  • May require travel to other offices and locations as needed

 

 

The typical pay scale for this position is between $115,000 and $150,000, although the actual wage or salary could be lower or higher if the candidate’s education, experience, skills and internal pay alignment are different from those specified.
